Welcome to the Applewood Hills & Heights Community in Mississauga

Applewood Hills and Heights is one of Mississauga’s oldest neighbourhoods – developed in the 1960s this neighbourhood has grown into a cultural mecca for the city. For the nature enthusiasts, there are plenty of biking and walking trails to choose from down by the Etobicoke Creek that runs south through Applewood out to Lake Ontario. And for the shopping enthusiasts, you can find an industrial park with many shops and outlets along the stretch of Dundas from Dixie to Cawthra, with the Mississauga Chinese Centre (over 100,000 square feet of shopping) being a destination for travellers and locals alike.

Miway bus transportation is available throughout Applewood, but for the Toronto commuter the Dixie Go Train might be a more viable option (although it’s not one of the most serviced Go lines, it can still get you downtown without having to fight traffic on the Gardiner).

Another option for commuters since Applewood is so close to the Toronto border might be using the Bloor subway line to get into the core, although the closest station stop would likely be Kipling Station. Transit aside, schools are definitely a factor for many Applewood residents (which makes sense when we look at the demographics that show a higher number of children per household in this part of the city!).
